Charles Dickens was a Parliamentary reporter who turned to writing fiction. Writing classics such as Great Expectations, Oliver Twist, A Christmas carol to name a few.
Dickens graphic accounts of the appalling conditions of the working classes in Victorian England led to a greater social awareness of the need for reform.
The marble sculpture is hand finished using 90% crushed Carrara Marble and is smooth to the touch and a very solid piece.
