The Dying Gaul
This is an ancient work of art, depicting a wounded warrior, some thought at first a gladiator.
The original marble sculpture is a Roman copy of the bronze statue, commissioned in 220 BC by Attalos 1st, of Pergamon, to honour his victory over the Galatians.
H-30cms / W-53cms / D-25cms - Weight 12.0 Kgs Museum quality.
The marble sculpture is hand finished using 90% Crushed Carrara Marble and is smooth to the touch and a very solid piece.
